West African Senufo daybed
Hand carved from a single piece of solid hard wood. Sloping top on large tapered feet.
This piece has a superb weathered patina and plenty of signs of age and use, the old primitive repairs using hammered metal banding add to it’s character. Solid and very heavy. The daybed has a slight rock, less noticeable when on a soft surface.
