Rustic tripod stool made of elm dating from the late 19th / early 20th century.
Acquired from a small farm in South West Wales, the previous owner recalls it from her childhood and remembers being told stories about it which go back to at least 1910-20.
The top has an undulating wood grain pattern typical of English elm with gnarled legs giving it plenty of character. Signs of age and use as pictured, well constructed with no wobbles or loose joints.
