Uchiwa fan wall light designed in the 1970s by Ingo Maurer for his Munich based lighting design company, M-Design.
This delicate light is made from bamboo and laminated paper using traditional Japanese techniques.
Very good condition, with a lovely natural aged tone. A split on the bottom left side, on the surface only (doesn't go all the way through), this appears to be age related rather than damage. Original wall mounting, wiring and switch all in perfect working order. Remnants of where the M Design labels were placed on the bulb holder. Original wiring and switch in good working order. Currently on a 3 pin UK plug (can be changed to EU 2 pin on request).
