Designed in 1950 by Robin Day for Hille, the Hillestak chair was an instant success.
This is an early first edition version.
Bent ply seat and frame on a beech frame.
In very good vintage condition. All original, purchased by previous owner from new and had been in storage for the past 10 years. No repairs or restoration, just a light clean and polish, all joints are nice and sturdy. Signs of wear as pictured, small area of damage to corner of the backrest and marks to the seat but nothing too serious.
